We’re going to be kicking off a series here on the GNEISS blog where we’re going to bring you a short synopsis of all of the major cryptocurrencies on the market, in order of market capitalization. In doing so, we hope to bring accomplish three things:
First, we hope to give you a thorough overview of the crypto space as it exists now so that you can be aware of popular blockchain-based technologies for the sake of informing your own innovative ideas and/or investing strategies. Obviously, everyone knows of the big guys at the very top of the market cap totem pole, but there are a lot of other smaller companies a little ways down that you may find interesting for a variety of reasons.
Second, it’s worth revisiting some of the bigger names to deepen your understanding of how they are different from one another, and what the consequences might be as a result. For example, if you’re not sure what the difference is between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash, or why it really matters, it’s definitely worth taking some time to look at that issue!
Third, it’s an interesting exercise to document the major players in the crypto space now, so that in several years time, as the landscape continues to develop, we can go back and see what’s changed, why, and how we can learn from those developments moving forward. We’ll also be commenting on several predictions for the future of the current big players so that you can stay ahead of the curve on the fast-paced development of the crypto space.
So make sure you’re checking back here regularly for new posts in this series! We’ll be starting with Bitcoin (of course!), and looking forward to sharing all of our thoughts with you along this journey.
